He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Decker and Betty Decker; his stepfather William F. Payne; and his brother William K. Payne. He is survived by: his sons, Scot Decker (Tami) of Poplar Grove, Joseph Decker (Joy) of South Bend, John Decker (Michele) of South Bend and Thomas Decker of Waterford, Michigan; his grandchildren, Danielle, Holly, Rodney, JaVonte, Kelly, Ashley, Cheyanne, Raquele, Natalie and T. J.; his great grandchildren, Kaden, Jayce, Kingston and Malakhi; his sister Sandy Sharp (Thomas) of Warsaw, Indiana; and his aunt Jerry Greene of South Bend, Indiana..
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the United Presbyterian Church of Cassopolis (209 E State St, Cassopolis, MI 49031). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
