She was predeceased by: her brother Lynn Kloko. She is survived by: her husband Robert Atherton; her children, Jovan Groves (Joe) of Sodus and Jordan Atherton of Dowagiac; her grandsons, Gabriel Atherton of Dowagiac, Gavin Atherton of Dowagiac, Joseph Groves of Dowagiac and Teddy Atherton of Dowagiac; and her great grandchildren, Max and Arty.
The family prefers contributions in memory of Joan be made to the family in care of the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
