She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Gentz and Myrtle Gentz (Kilpatrick); and her husband Harold "Mac" McCardle. She is survived by: her children, Dean, Sandy Simons, Chris, Mark Hall, Cheryl and Andrew HetJonk; her grandchildren, Rebecca, James Swartz, Jacob Simons, Samantha Avery, Sara Gingerich, Daryl Ezell, Josie, Cody Fudge, Mike Hall, Cassie Aley, Kaden Simons, Emily Rivera, Nik Mejia, Kayden Schragg, Mia Simons, Adam and Amber Simons; her great grandchildren, Logan, Elijah, Olivia, Josiah, Paisley, Madison (Logan), Reagan, Kennedy, Carter, Maevyn and Millie; and her siblings, Evelyn (Allen Simons), Clem Gentz, Deb (Dennis Simons), Herm (Carmen Gentz), Janet (Bruce Howard), Joann (Bill Line) and Annette Blair. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be given to Carlisle Church in Byron Center.
