He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Wendel and Beatrice Wendel (Baum); his sister Joanne Phairas (Wendel); and his daughters, Julie Bohley (Wendel) and Ella Ulrich (Wendel).
He is survived by: his sister Betty Cooper (Wendel); his children, John Wendel (Cande) and Connie Tossava (Pete); Sam Hawley. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
