She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Schestag and Ruth Schestag; her son Craig Mabie; her sister Avis Covell; and her brother-in-law Ernie Ruis.

She is survived by: her husband Don Mabie; her sons, Kurt Mabie (Sue) and Tim Mabie (Chris); her daughter-in-law Theresa Mabie; her grandchildren, Ryan (Koree), Mike (Tina), Nathan (Erica), Lindsey Dabrowski (Wojtek), Stephanie, Ali and Aaron (Lauren); her great grandchildren, Emerson, Failla, Eira, Ellina, Ella, Lily, Jakob, Owen, Kayden, Madi and Maya; her siblings, Harvey Schestag (Cheryl), Margie Ruis, Gary Schestag (Deb) and Cheryl Schoenborn (Chuck); and her in-laws, Leon Covell, Jack Eldred (Mary) and Tom Mabie (Claudia). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
