With sadness, we share the passing of Sonja Anne Cain (Central Lake, Michigan). Sonja Anne, born on August 10, 1947 in Dryden, Michigan, passed away on July 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Shafer and Emma Childers; her husband David Cain; her grandson Andrew Priess; and her siblings, Valerie Shafer, Paul Halstead and Stewart Shafer.
She is survived by: her children, David Cain (Misty), Sarah Priess (Roger McQueen) and Amanda Wiltse (James Grannis); her grandchildren, DJ, Nick, Trevor, Alexis, Emma and Lillian; and her siblings, Lee Thayer, Bill Shafer (Karen), Dorry Neighorn, David Shafer, Marietta Chauvin, Nancy Simpson (Mike), Betty Larson (Jerome) and Rollie Halstead. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
