He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Major and Alice Major (Morris). He is survived by: his wife Cassandra Major (Kuhnle); his sons, Michael Major and Mark Major (Melissa); his grandchildren, Autumn, Zane and Brooke Major; and his siblings, Wayne Major (Marsha), Marilyn McManus and Nancy Murk (Steve). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
