He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie "Gene" Pagels and Ella Pagels (Arnold); and his sister Tina Pagels. He is survived by: his siblings, Charles Shie (Kari) of Greenville, LaDonna Pagels of White Pigeon and Thomas Pagels of Centreville, Michigan.; and his nieces and nephews, Sharon Price (Scott) of Ypsilanti, Bill Westra (Emily) of Virginia Beach, Leslie Shie of Greenville, Charles Shie II (Melissa) of Crofton, Casey Hustin (Allen) of Itaca and Michael Thomas Pagels.
