He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Nurmi and Delores Will (Holvick); his siblings, Douglas Nurmi and Janice Maki; and his parents-in-law, Henry and Margaret Pretti.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Nurmi (Pretti); his children, Brian Nurmi (Kimberly), Amanda Grunlund (David), Joseph Nurmi (Nicole), John Nurmi (Brandi) and Jacob Nurmi (Kristi); his grandchildren, Anja, Henry, Luke, Caleb, Claire, Rowan, Dominic, Sophie, Jason, Ava, Noah and Amelia; his siblings, Joyce Olson (Mike), Dale Nurmi (Micky), Judy Caruso (Mike) and JoAnn Nurmi; and his siblings-in-law, Dianne Linn (Rod) and Michael Pretti (Sue). He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (W4703 Metropolitan Rd, Felch, MI 49831). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
