He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Napont and Agnes Napont (Nanigaw); his son Will Wingo; and his brothers, Melvin, Joseph and Richard Napont.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Elora Virtus (Mitchie) of Charlevoix and Joseph Napont of Charlevoix; and his sisters, Mary Ann Boulton of Charlevoix, Rita Blacklock of Detroit and Marilyn Napont of Petoskey.
