He was predeceased by: his parents, Garfield Ewing and Genevieve Ewing (Hillker); his wife Delores Ewing; his children, Rick, James, Michael, Jody, Margaret and Tina; his grandson Robert (BJ); and his sister Linda Shasteen.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Kay Becker; his daughter-in-law Cheryl Dunlap; and his sisters, Bernetta Byewater, Virginia Greene and Beverly Harris. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
