She was predeceased by: her parents, John Purcell and Pearlie Purcell (Brown); her husband Forest Lewis; and her sons, John Lewis and Forest Lewis Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Dorma Mosher, Pearl Smith and Barb Powers; her grandchildren, Jason Lewis, Brandy Lyons, Billie Humphrey, Millie Woods, Michelle Hughes, John Lewis, Adam Smith, Bambi Smith and John Powers; and her sisters, Sonya Schmidt and Nancy Roland. She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pray Funeral Home (401 W Seminary St, Charlotte, MI 48813). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the local Charlotte police and fire departments.
