He is survived by: his wife Dolores "Dee" Wertz; his son Van Wertz (Mary); his daughter-in-law Julie Wertz; his grandchildren, Trevor Wertz (Tracey), Zane Wertz (Lynn), Spencer Wertz (Sarah) and Dalton Wertz; his great grandchildren, Jaelan Wertz, Brody Wertz, Silas Wertz, Hazen Wertz, Serenity Krawczyk, Lilith Lawrence and Ellarie Lawrence; his sister Angie Earl; and his sister-in-law Linda Wertz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
