He was predeceased by : his parents, Lewis Watters and Naomi Watters (Phillips); and his siblings, Darwin Watters, Marvin Watters, James Watters and Dale Watters.

He is survived by : his wife Elaine Hale; and his siblings, Clara Binetti, Darlene Phillips and Dennis Watters. He is also survived by numerous children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
