He was predeceased by: his father Roger E. Smith; his fiancée Wanda "Lee" Webb; and his brother-in-law George Thomas Riffe II. He is survived by: his mother Etta M. Smith (Johnson); and his siblings, Roger Smith (Lorie), Janet Riffe, Cheryl Vercher (Alan), Betty Dillon (Trevor) and Teresa Howe (William). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
