He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Hankins and Evelyn Hankins; and his siblings, Marvin Hankins, Wayne Hankins, Karen Tate, Suzan Tyler and Delores Tyler.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Garvie (Cook); his children, Cassandra Hankins, Mark Hankins, Jason Garvie and Justin Garvie (Jessica); his grandchildren, Draco, Memphis, Evelyn and Ethan; his siblings, Ronald Hankins and Darlene Keshick; and his extended family, Tony, JoDee Pruden, Kelly, Stan Karamol, Kent and Teresa MacDonald. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pray Funeral Home (401 W Seminary St, Charlotte, MI 48813). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
