It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Clara Lou Cortright of Charlotte, Michigan, who passed away on June 4, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harlo Ely and Juanita Ely (Thomas); her husband Roger Cortright; her children, Steven Cortright and Melissa "Missy" Elliott; her siblings, Don Ely, Bruce Ely and Ann Horstmyer; her grandson Jimmy Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Dylan and Wyatt.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Cortright (Pauline), Rodge Cortright (Linda) and Renee Cortright; and her siblings, Paul Ely (Francis), Linda Pennington (Charles) and Sue Ely. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
