Sharon Summers Obituary

We announce the death of Sharon Summers of Charlotte, Michigan, who passed away on July 11, 2026, at the age of 82. Sharon will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Keith Hough and Ilah M. Hough (Barnum); her husband Stephen E. Summers; and her sister Susan J. Hough. She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa J. Summers, Deborah Sipperley (Summers) and Marie J. Summers; and her sisters, Shelia West of Palm City and Sandra Fisher of Sunfield. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

Sharon graduated from St. Lawrence Mercy School of Nursing of Lansing in 1965 and worked her entire life in in the nursing profession in hospitals in Florida and Lansing area, ending her career at UofM Health-Sparrow Eaton (formerly Hayes-Green-Beach Hospital) in Charlotte until age 79, when she contracted Covid Encephalitis which ended her long-standing commitment to nursing.
