He was predeceased by : his parents, Nick Arnold and Pearl Isabelle Ellison (Crosby). He is survived by : his wife Julie Ellison; his son Dan Ellison of Grayling; his grandsons, Nick and Jasper Ellison; and his siblings, Ken Ellison, Rod Ellison (Sue), Bob Ellison, Roger Ellison, Nancy and Pat. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family.

If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children.
