With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Steven Ray Niemi of Chatham, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 13, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Steven departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Steven may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Steven leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Niemi and Sinikka Niemi; and his brother Robert Niemi. He is survived by: his sisters, Donna Lampi (Henry) of Escanaba, MI and Kathy McDonough (Dan) of Cooks, MI; and his sister-in-law Lori Niemi of Manistique, MI.. He is also survived by 14 great nephews and nieces, and two great-great nephews.
