Cherie Precord Obituary
We announce the death of Cherie Precord of Cheboygan, Michigan, who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 85. Cherie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Hampton and Marguerite Hampton (Thompson); her brothers, Donald Hampton and Thomas Hampton; her son Robert Wayne Precord; and her great grandchild Clara Marie Moulton.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Precord; and her children, Richard Precord (Anne), Todd Precord (Rhonda), Patrick Precord (Karen) and Dana Coon (Dan). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
A vigil service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 7:30 AM. Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 7:30 PM at the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home (302 S Huron St, Cheboygan, MI 49721). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Charles Catholic Church (120 North St d, Cheboygan, MI 49721).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Baraga School.
