Gary D. Skaggs Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2025, at the age of 81, Gary D. Skaggs in Cheboygan, Michigan, born in Lansing, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gary may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gary touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Debbie Skaggs; his parents, Greta Skaggs and Norman Skaggs; his sister Gae Joyce Skaggs; and his grandmother O'Letta Hanes.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Skaggs; his daughters, Dawn Skaggs, Lisa Kelly and Tammy Skaggs (Terry); and his stepchildren, Charlie Scott and Amanda Newburn. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 1 stepgrandchild; and 8 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel (325 W Washtenaw St, Lansing, MI 48933).
