He was predeceased by: his parents, James I. Luttrell and Helen Luttrell (Arthur); his grandson James "Jimmy" Luttrell; his great grandchild Jason Luttrell, II; and his sisters, Pat LaVigne and Carolyn Nowak.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn LaVigne; his children, Jim Luttrell Jr. and Lori Fish (Randy); and his grandchildren, Jason Luttrell (Jackie), Jessica McPhall (Wayne), Jamie Deitz (Matt), Jacob Luttrell (Sara), Randy Fish (Dara), Rochelle Fish and Nicole David (Nelson). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made in honor of James Luttrell, Sr. to Bishop Baraga Catholic School.
