It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Franklin Nanegos of Cheboygan, Michigan, who passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Nanegos and LaRaine Nanegos; his children, Johnathan Nanegos and Baby Nanegos; and his brother-in-law Ray Troussdale.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Nanegos, YaLynn Nanegos, James Nanegos and Jenny Nanegos; and his siblings, Jean Trousdale, Jerri Lynn Barker (Gary), Barbara Morrill, Ruth Charbonneau and Bernard "John" Morrill.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Stone Funeral Home (2098 E Mitchell Rd, Petoskey, MI 49770). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in James' name to the Nehemiah House at Hillside Church, an organization he personally supported.
