We are sad to announce that on August 3, 2025, Edson B. Whitaker of Chelsea, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dorr Whitaker and Ruth Whitaker (Wooster); his wife Veretta Whitaker (Greenwood); his sons, John Whitaker (Jonna Siano) of Battle Creek and Howard Whitaker of Chelsea; his grandchildren, Chelsea Chaib (James), Jessica Poling (Bob) of Jackson, Jordan Whitaker of Grand Rapids and Jonathan Bowen (Laura) of Grand Ledge; and his great grandchildren, Jaydon French of Jackson, Mason Bemis of Jackson, Isaac Bowen of Grand Ledge and Alasdair Chaib.
A reception was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and at 4:00 PM at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home (901 N Main St #9487, Chelsea, MI 48118).
Donations to Edson's honor may be made to the Chelsea Community Fair or the Chelsea Depot Association.
