He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hafner and Mary Hafner (Honeck); and his wife Ruth H. (Beeman). He is survived by: his children, Lennie Hafner (Sue) of Alaska, Leslee Hafner (CC) of Jackson and Linda McCalla (Gary) of Munith; and his siblings, Dennis Hafner of Chelsea and Gloria Near of Saline. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home (901 N Main St, Chelsea, MI 48118). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Waterloo Farm Museum.
