He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Jennifer Franklin (Ric Eakin) of Ann Arbor and Tom Payne (Carmen) of Manchester; his grandchildren, Malia Wells (Louis) and Bryson Franklin; his great grandchildren, Weston and Azelie Wells; and his siblings, Arthur Payne (Pauline) of Stratford, CT, Joseph Payne of Prospect, CT and Martha Payne of Waterbury, CT..
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home (901 N Main St, Chelsea, MI 48118). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (14200 E Old US Hwy 12, Chelsea, MI 48118).
