He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Gerding and Emma Gerding; and his sisters, Thelma, Virginia, Vonda, Joyce, Jane and Patricia.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret of Michael's Catholic Church; his sister Sharon Moore (Dennis); and his sisters-in-law, Joyce (Larry), Jane (Mike) and Paulette (Andy). He is also survived by many other family members, and dear friends.
Memorials may be made in his name to the East Side Soup Kitchen in Saginaw, the Saginaw City Rescue Mission, or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
