It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David James Phelps (Chesaning, Michigan), born in Saginaw, Michigan, who passed away on March 7, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Phelps and Florence Phelps (Tuck); his siblings, Milton, Duane, Agnace Peterson and Elinor Thurston; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Shook and Bob Peterson.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Blehm; his sons, David Todd Phelps (Katy) of Paris and Kelly Robert Phelps of Rogers City; his sister Rose Shook of Valdosta, GA; his siblings-in-law, Delores Phelps of Chesaning and Dwight Thurston of Clare; his cousins, Shirley Craig of Saginaw and Arlene Tuck of Essexville; his former wife Karen Phelps of Chesaning; and his pets, Smokey, Blacky, Sweet Pea and Wildcat. He is also survived by many nieces; nephews; great friends.
