Guy W. Baker Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Guy W. Baker of Chesaning, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dart Dale and Marian Anna Baker (Hicks); his close friend Emmajean; his siblings, Alan Baker, Linda Taylor and Mitchel Baker; and his brother-in-law Charles Henry.
He is survived by: his spouse Emmajean Stafford; his daughters, Tamara Scott (Keith), Jenna Patterson (Jim) of Lansing and Mary Schmidt (Steven) of Byron; his grandchildren, Kenneth Westervelt (LaRay), Andrew Westervelt (Jenna), Melissa Scott, Chad Scott, Kristin Lilly (Nathan), Devin Nault (Ashia Wroblak), Patrick Boza and Brian Boza; his siblings, Robin Baker (Faye), O. Jeffrey Baker (Mary Ann) and Bonnie Henry; and his sister-in-law Barbara Baker. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Parish Catholic Church (404 S Wood St., Chesaning, MI 48616). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Peter Catholic Parish or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
