We announce the death of John Walter Woolston of Chesaning, Michigan, who passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 92. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Woolston and Norma Ruth Woolston (Stearns); his wife Emily; his sisters, Arlene Whaley and Judy Cook; and his granddaughters, Sarah Lynn Woolston and Amanda Mendis.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Wallen (Don), Cathy Brewer (Charles), Calvin Woolston (Pam), Janet Sylvester and Elaine White (Michael). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Misiuk Funeral Home (202 S Front St, Chesaning, MI 48616). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
