With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Calvin W. Cooper of Clare, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 12, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cooper and Leona Cooper (Foster); his sons, James and Keith; his sister Ruth Funnell; his sister-in-law Pat Cooper; and his siblings, Fay Salinas (Rudy), Dale, Carl, Norman and Phillip.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Battle; his daughters, Kelly Maynard of Clare, Lori Cooper (Bill) of Mt. Pleasant and Ginger Small (James) of Mt. Pleasant; his siblings, Clinton Cooper (Lucy), Richard Cooper, Ken Cooper (Sharon), Katherine Peckins (Harold) and Jeanie Sprague (Lance); his sisters-in-law, Nila Cooper and Carol Cooper; his grandchildren, Ashley (Daniel), Jodi (Dean), Courtney (Cody), Jason (Jessica), Carol (Emmanuel), James (Abby), Jewel (Justin), Joel and Jade (Malachi); and his great grandchildren, Alexis, Brason, Randy, King, Eli, Emeka, Elliott, Luna, Adannaya, Logan, Cody, Trever and Daniella. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
