It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gregory James Matzelle of Clarkston, Michigan, who passed away on May 29, 2026, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his spouse Shayla; his mother Susan; his stepfather Mike Garontakos; his father Carleton; his stepmother Judy Matzelle; his sisters, Andrea Regling and Allison Matzelle; his stepbrothers, Brian and Michael Garontakos (Traci); his parents-in-law, Derrick and Heather Myles; his siblings-in-law, Sydney, Michael Helm and Kammron Myles; his aunts and uncles, Dawne Lange, Beverly Kubota, Anne Marie, Rich Margaritondo, Gregory (Nala), Carol Moya (Mike Durell) and Tony Garontakos; his cousins, Shawn (Masayo Lange), Yasmeen Asmar, Kimi (Jeff Laneave), Tony Henig and Jerry Lange; his nieces and nephews, Dylan, Hanna Regling, Brayden Regling, Maya Regling, Jackson, Eliana, Landon Garontakos, Aleena, Sasha and Noah Lange; and his great-nephew Ren Regling. He is also survived by his parents' homes; Friend.
