With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James H. McIlrath of Clarkston, Michigan, who passed away on December 8, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Steinhart-McIlrath; his children, Jerry, Melanie McIlrath, Wendy, Richard Savage, Dave, Angie Steinhart, Dan, Jeanne Steinhart, Jeffery, Riz McIlrath and Joyce Wiker; his brother Robert McIlrath; his grandchildren, Kristen, Patrick, Zachary, Andrew, Matthew and Dan; his great grandchildren, Dustin, Daisy, Dakota, Leeland, Taylor, Jamie, Phoebe, Dallas and Ellery; Dolores, Linda and Charles.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home (5630 Pontiac Lake Rd, Waterford Twp, MI 48327). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
