He was predeceased by: his stepson Johnny Carrie; and his parents, Pete Goforth and Jewell Goforth. He is survived by: his wife Betty "Sue" Goforth; his daughter Jennifer Evans; his stepsons, Curtis Carrie (Julie) and Greg Sublett (Suzanne); and his sister Virginia Smith.
