He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman Smith and Ernestine Smith (Wardell); his daughter-in-law Katherine Kay Watters; his wife Patricia Bradley; his former wife Katherine Kay Smith; his daughters, Mattie Tomrell and Baby Stacy Smith; his great grandchild Lacy; and his siblings, Joyce Currier, Sandy Childers, Faith Canaday-Potter, Crystal Brandt, Marcia Hotchkiss, Paul Smith, David Smith, Tim Smith, Tom Smith and Daniel Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Truman Smith, Jr., Tim Smith (Lorie) and Mike Smith (Jill); and his siblings, Dawn Massey (Larry), Rebecca Muxlow, Deborah Guiliano, Bonnie Day (Dennis), Renee Goodell, Gary Smith (Joan), Bill Smith (Jane) and Phillip Smith (Barbara). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: 16 great-grandchildren.
