He is survived by: his children, Diana Emilia Barbu (James Schlotman), Eugen Liviu Zglimbea (Alex Marsh) and Horațiu Alexandru Zglimbea (Elizabeth); his nephew Virgil John Barbu; his sister Emilia Barbu (Virgil); and his grandchildren, Jorie, Jacob, Evelyn and Isaac.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church (5353 Livernois Rd, Troy, MI 48098).
