In the sacred silence of farewell, Jerry is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Jerry's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gloria Dietderich and Dale Dietderich; and his sister Susan Gillette. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Gavin; his children, Andrew Dietderich (Vanessa), Layla, Taegan, Brian Dietderich and Kara Herman (Jake); and his grandson Benjamin.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Clawson (1368 N Crooks Rd, Clawson, MI 48017). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Kirk (1340 W Long Lake Rd, Bloomfield Twp, MI 48302).
