He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Boyer and Bertha Boyer; and his siblings, Madeliene, Gwen, Bill, Wanda, John and Edison.

He is survived by: his wife Colleen Boyer; his sons, Robert Jr. (Kristen), Steven and Timothy (Krista); and his grandchild Harper.
