He is survived by: his mother Marsha E. Pierce (Clark); his wife Susan R. Vershum; his children, Wesley Pierce, Abby Pierce (Wyatt Berger) and Chelsea Pierce; his sister Amanda Pierce; his siblings-in-law, Lynn (Jodi), Scott Vershum (Heather) and Michele Gladieux (Allan); and his nieces and nephews, Madi Vershum, Lyndsay Gladieux (Jacob Conklin), Kelsey Vershum, Ella Pierce, CJ Gladieux (Samantha Fernholz), Sawyer Vershum (Jaelyn), Joey Vershum (Sydnee) and Brady Vershum.

Memorial donations in Bill's memory may be given to Clayton Fire Department or Mott's Children's Hospital.
