Susan E. Kloosterman Obituary
A service in witness to Susan's life and faith will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Prairie Baptist Church, 11210 E P Q Ave, Scotts. Friends may greet the family following the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to Prairie Baptist School, in c/o the funeral home.
Susan Elaine Kloosterman age 71 of Climax passed away Thursday afternoon, September 10, 2026. Susan was born in Kalamazoo on July 24, 1955, the daughter of Leon Gerald and Patsy (Chapman) Wilson. On July 28, 1973, she married Gordon B. Kloosterman who survives her. Susan was an avid gardener and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds. She loved crocheting and sewing. She was an animal lover and loved watching the animals in her yard. Over the years she had adopted several cats. She was a collector of Fenton antique glass. In her younger years, she liked going to craft shows where she sold some of her own creations. She and Gordon enjoyed going on cruises in the Caribbean. Susan was a believer in Jesus and looked to him for all her needs. Besides her husband, Susan is survived by her children, Patricia (James Smith) Kloosterman, Jeremy (Angie) Kloosterman, Rebecca (James) Lester; grandchildren, Lillyana Marie Shanafelt, Ella Madison Shanafelt, Gracie AnnMae Kloosterman, Hunter Mitchell Hayes; her mother, Patsy Wilson; brothers, Jeffrey (Denise) Wilson and Mark (Lorrie) Wilson; sister, Gerriann (Robert) Throop; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Susan was preceded in death by her father; sister, Karen Wilson.
