He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Francis Joseph and Marie Caroline Merrick (Deering); his wife Dorothy Merrick (Groth); his children, Genna and Logan; his siblings, Janet, Andy and Mike Merrick; his siblings-in-law, Patricia, Julianne Felix (Octave), Clarence and Lori Groth; his niece Emily; and his nephew Hector.
