We are sad to announce that on August 25, 2023, at the age of 94, Ila Rae Matthes of Clinton Township, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Church and Alma Church (Nicholas); her husband Robert Edward Matthes; and her brother Earl Church. She is survived by: her family Christian; her children, Judy Maltese (Carmen), Bill Matthes (Lisa) and Gary Matthes (Rosemarie Marcil); her grandchildren, Danielle Wilson, Jason Matthes, Michael Maltese (Breanne) and Jackie Heikkinen (Jacob); her great grandchildren, Wilhelmina and Naomi Heikkinen; and her siblings-in-law, John Matthes (Anita) and Gloria Church. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be addressed to the Christ Church of Fraser.
