He is survived by: his wife Jeanine Bates (Bessette); his sister Susan Bates; his brother-in-law Bob Bessette (Mary); and his sibling's children, Gary Guminski (Susan), Gregory Guminski (Karen), Karen Trojniak (Mark), Lisa Fetters (Mark), Joseph Zielinski, Michael Bates, Michelle Bates, Shannon E. Bessette, Jill Bessette McCready, Robin Bessette Hollern and Sairi Bessette Elliot.
