He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Wirsing and Ernestine Wirsing (Bolinger); his stepfather Harvey Broughton; his siblings-in-law, Jeanette Correll and Joseph Hasman; and his friend Arnold Bundschuh.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Wirsing; his children, Teresa Ewing, Jim Wirsing (Mandy), Mike Wirsing (Theresa) and Laura Bierlein (Nick); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jackson, Tristan Cronkright, Matthew, Max, Blake Cronkright, Luke and Kyle Robinson; his great grandchild Morgan Robinson; his brothers, Douglas Wirsing (Cynthia) of Kersley and William Wirsing (Susan) of Holly; his brother-in-law Robert Hasman (Desiree); his niece Lisa McCoy (Rob); and his friend Kirk Heath.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel of Towers and Homes for Our Troops.
