He was predeceased by: his parent Iosif Margit. He is survived by: his wife Rodica Margit; his children, Ancuta Trifan (Alin) and Marcel Margit (Ileana); his grandchildren, Raluca, Matei and Larisa; and his sister Mariana Havrincea (Marius).
