He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Long and Viola Long (Sedlow); and his siblings, Donald, Kenneth, Elwin, Robert, Clifford and Carol.

He is survived by: his wife Elspeth Long; his children, Kevin E. Long (Stephanie), Catherine Kostka (Michael) and Scott Long (Vivian); his grandchildren, Kendra, Billy Hopewell, Kevin C., Briahnnon Long, Aubrey, Kyle VanOchten, Michael Kostka, Garrett, Kelsey Long, Nathaniel, Claire Ladaga, Nicholas Ladaga (Rachel), Alexander Kostka (Megan) and Stuart Long; and his great grandchild Many. He is also survived by other loving cousins, nieces, nephews, in laws, beloved family members and dear friends.
