He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kern and Ethel Kern (Baxter); his wife Marjorie Kern; his sons-in-law, Floyd Bullock and Earl Goodrich; and his siblings, Eugene Kern (Jean), William Kern (Ginger) and Velma Dilleree (Richard).
He is survived by: his children, Phillip Kern, Kathleen Bullock and Marcia Goodrich; his grandchildren, Kevin Krupp (Melanie), Daniel Krupp, Danielle Goodrich and Nathan Goodrich; his great grandchild Sierra Krupp; his great great grandchild Wren Krupp; and his sister Cora McClure. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester, Michigan.
