He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Pender and Elva Pender (Dahl); his sister Betty Garner (JoAnne Keel); his son John Pender; and his grandson Tyler Pender.
He is survived by: his wife Ilene Pender (Whitlock); and his children, Anna Pierce (John) of Montgomery, Cathy Pender of Clio, Collene Marx (Mark) of Holly, Barbara Crane (Mark) of Mt. Morris, James Pender (Mun) of Mt. Morris and Joe Pender (Yvonne) of Clio. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren.
