With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Sweeney of Clio, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on April 4, 2024 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Sweeney to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his father Richard Vincent Sweeney; his wife Dorothy Anderson; his parent Inda Winifrid Sweeney; and his sister Grace Sweeney. He is survived by : his siblings, Rita (Murray), John and Ruth The (McMunigal) of Mary's Catholic Church; his friend Ed Keith Bowman; his children, Richard Sweeney (Natalie), Michelle Humphreys (Tim) and Dale Sweeney (Amy); his grandchildren, Josiah Sweeney, Timothy Humphreys, Katie Humphreys, Joshua Sweeney, Marissa Sweeney, Hannah Sweeney, Jason Humphreys (Harley), Dustin Humphreys and Roman; and his great grandchild Georgia Humphreys.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church (230 E Vienna St, Clio, MI 48420). A Mass will be held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
